- Ethnic Minorities: Black H’mong, Zay
This is one of our most popular treks. The route takes us to villages in the Muong Hoa Valley inhabited by a variety of ethic minority groups, including Black H‘mong and Zay. We trek along sealed road, local paths, and terraced rice fields.
From Sapa, we trek, via Y Linh Ho, through beautiful scenery to the Black H’mong Village of Lao Chai. We spend time looking around the village and stop for our picnic lunch in here or at an alternative spot.
After lunch, we walk through rice terraces and on local paths to the Zay village of Ta Van. This is the only village in the Sapa area where the Zay people live. We spend time looking around the village. Finally, we head back up the valley to meet with our jeep/motorbikes for the return trip to Sapa.
